I told you that I would write more about the NAMGAR regional GT at Soloman Island
MD, but that was too far back for me to remember (as they say, the mind is the
second thing to go). The only thing I can remember for sure is that we had a great
time. If you ever get the opportunity to go a regional NAMGAR event, make the time to
go. I enjoy the yearly GTs but the smaller events give you a chance to get to know
people. I think that the yearly GTs are a great way to see our country because the are
in a different part of the country each year. You have local people there to let you
know where to go and what is interesting to see.
Bonnie and I just got back from a two week vacation in South America. At the Soup
Party, someone asked if we had a good time. I always judge a vacation by if I am in a
hurry to get home. On this trip, I would have come home sooner if I could have. It's
always interesting to see different countries and cultures, but we spent too much time
in big cities. In my opinion, if you have seen one of them, you have seen them all. We
did go to a couple of interesting wineries, and saw a spectacular water fall in
Argentina and Brazil. It was sure good to get home. If you missed the Soup Party, you
missed a good time. We had about thirty four in attendance, and the food was good.
Spring is here! Get working on those MGs so you can do some driving this season.
