Club Picnic - Sunday, August 24
This year's picnic will be held on Sunday, August 24th. Ralph and Aida DiNardo
have kindly opened up their garden to the Club, and we will have some driving
games as well as less energetic entertainment. The address is 115 Alpine Road,
Bridgeville, PA 15017. Phone if you are lost: 412-221-5215.
Plan to arrive any time after 3:30 p.m. The club provides the food and
refreshments, but please bring along your favorite appetizer, salad or dessert to
share. In order to cater for the appropriate number, please e-mail Sylvia Affleck
at saffleck@fastmail.fm to let her know how many people to expect and what you
plan to bring. Note: Sylvia will be away until August 18th.
Directions to the DiNardo's:
From the North - south down I-79 to exit 54, Bridgeville, PA-50. Turn right and
go to the lights by the BP gas station. Turn right onto Washington Pike. After 1.9
miles, look for sign to Alpine Road on the right. Keep to the upper side of the
grass and look for the Italian flag flying at the second house. Do not go down
Alpine Road. If you do, take an immediate left to get back onto the upper
driveway.
From the South - north on I-79 to exit 48, Southpointe, Hendersonville. Turn
right onto Southpointe Blvd. Go to junction with Morganza Rd. Turn left and go
2.1 miles when Morganza Rd becomes Washington Pike. Continue for another
1.2 miles and look for Alpine Rd on the left. Again, keep to the upper side of the
grass.
