Quaker Steak & Lube Tour - Saturday, August 9
Bud Osbourne will be our guide for the annual Quaker Steak & Lube tour to its
original location in Sharon, PA. On the way will be a stop at Team Triumph. Bud
will be concentrating on driving some small back roads this year, avoiding the
larger roads when possible.
Meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Park & Ride lot at Mt. Nebo exit of I-79 North. We will
be departing in small groups at 10:15 sharp. Arrange the group you want to
drive with so Bud doesn't have to assign you to a group! Those fast drivers will
be going out in the first groups. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace will go
in the later groups to avoid bunching up.
The first stop will be at Team Triumph where we can visit with Scott Harper and
ogle British cars and parts. Then it's on to Quaker Steak & Lube for a
mid-afternoon lunch of wings and beer. After lunch, you are on your own for the
drive home. Some have used this opportunity to take some extended back road
drives to make the return trip long enough to stop at another place for dinner
